In an over saturated Hip-Hop market only few stand out from the crowd, Tony K is one of the latest to emerge out of the Detroit music scene with a unique sound and unparalleled determination. Coming from a musical background not only is Tony a Hip-Hop artist but also a producer, songwriter, and audio engineer.

Born in Iraq, Tony and his family immigrated to the United States in 1991 barely escaping the horrors of what was then the Gulf War. Tony grew up in Oak Park, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit, he was introduced to Hip-Hop music at a young age listening to Biggie, Nas, NWA, Jay Z, DMX, Eminem and his favorite rapper and greatest influence Tupac Shakur which his song "Changes" inspired Tony to rap, by age 13 Tony was already writing and recording his own songs.

By Fall of 2005 Tony released his first album with fellow rapper and friend Peleboy titled "Partners In Crime", the album had some success locally and helped open the door for Tony to perform alongside rapper Trick Trick, singers Kevin Lyttle, Karl Wolf, and Massari doing shows in Detroit, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Canada. In 2006 Tony attended the Los Angeles Recording School furthering his audio knowledge and becoming a certified audio engineer. By 2008 Tony began releasing solo projects building a buzz with mixtapes such as 2008’s “By Any Means Neccessary” featuring Sean Kingston & Young Noble 2012’s “YNOT” and the latest titled “Wasteland”.

On the production side Tony has worked with rappers Kurupt, Royce Da 5'9", Bizzy Bone, Cappadonna and many more while also lending his engineering skills to Aftermath Entertainment and artist/producer Denaun Porter and his My Own Planet label. Tony's latest Mixtape "Wasteland" details his struggles and his outlook on life and is available now as a free download on his site. Tony currently continues performing and working with major and local artists producing, engineering, and songwriting all while working on new music for his upcoming solo releases.

Tony K has proven to be a force in all aspects of music and he will not let anyone or anything stand in the way of his American Dream.
